Experiment Station
West Virginia University’s Experiment Station—also known as the Research, Education and Outreach Centers (REOCs)—support the land-grant mission by providing the farms, forests and specialized facilities where applied research, teaching and outreach take place. These sites enable scientists, faculty, students and partners to test real-world solutions in agriculture, natural resources, forestry, animal science, horticulture, and environmental systems across diverse West Virginia landscapes.
The Experiment Station serves as a living laboratory where:
- Long-term and seasonal research trials are conducted
- Faculty collaborate with industry, agencies and communities
- Students gain hands-on learning experiences
- Data and findings support statewide Extension programming
For questions about facilities, capabilities, or collaborative research, please contact the appropriate Experiment Station manager.
